Fiduciary Statement
What is a fiduciary?
Investopedia.com says it best:
“A fiduciary is a person or organization that acts on behalf of another person or persons, putting their clients' interest ahead of their own, with a duty to preserve good faith and trust. Being a fiduciary thus requires being bound both legally and ethically to act in the other's best interests.”
The investment world works in two capacities for regulatory purposes. Suitable or fiduciary. The difference? When an advisor is not a fiduciary they can put their clients in anything as long it is “suitable”. Crazy right? and as you just read, A fiduciary is quite different.
